We are on our way!

We have successfully completed the first 1 hour and 4 minutes of the 29 hours of flying time it will take us to get to Ukarumpa. We spent all day yesterday packing and re-packing our action packers with the result being three action packers at the maximum weight of 50.9 lbs. and one large duffle bag weighing in at 50.9 lbs plus our carry on luggage. We got to bed around midnight last night and at 3:30 am this morning we jumped out of bed and hurried to the airport for our 6:00 am flight out of Billings. Praise the Lord the security barely blinked at all of our action packers! Our next flight will take us to Singapore through Seattle, and Tokyo. If all goes as planned we should be in Singapore in around 20 hours.

Jacob and Kim with their action packers maxed out...there are three of them plus Jacob's large backpack....and numerous carry-ons: computer, camera gear, guitar, etc..

Arrival in Denver at sunrise!

Our Visas Are Here!

Our visas have arrived! We are now shifting gears from waiting patiently to packing frantically! We were initially planning to be in Papua New Guinea on January 1st, and Kim was scheduled to teach starting on January 20th.

We are now in the process of securing airline tickets and tying up all of our remaining loose ends. Our tentative plan is to leave on Monday the 25th of January and arrive in Papua New Guinea on Friday the 29th of January.

Please pray for the following:
1. That we are able to get airline tickets secured by tomorrow, January 20th.
2. That our travel to Papua New Guinea goes smoothly.
3. That we are able to recover quickly from our jetlag (PNG is 17 hours ahead of MT) and transition into our jobs easily.
